Credit transfer agreements - China and Hong Kong

China

Bachelor of Arts

Students with a high grade average in the approved two-year undergraduate preparation program at Renmin University School of International Education may be eligible for selection into the Bachelor of Arts. Applicants who have completed the approved program may receive up to 100 points (1 year) of credit towards the Bachelor of Arts in the following majors.

Students will be eligible to enter the following majors within the Bachelor of Arts:

  • English
  • Media and Communication
  • Political Science and International Studies
  • Asian Studies
  • Historical Studies
  • Linguistics and Applied Linguistics

Applicants must also meet the Univeristy of Melbourne's English language requirements.

Masters by Coursework

Students with a high grade average in the approved one-year graduate preparation program at Renmin University School of International Education may be eligible for selection into a masters program offered by the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Applicants who have completed the program may receive up to 100 points (1 year) of credit into the masters programs below. Please note credit is at fourth-year level, requiring a final 100 points for completion of the masters degree.

  • Master of Public Policy and Management
  • Master of Art Curatorship
  • Master of Cinema Management
  • Master of Arts Management
  • Master of Development Studies
  • Master of Social Policy
  • Master of Applied Linguistics

Applicants must also meet the University of Melbourne's English language requirements.

Hong Kong

The Faculty of Arts will consider applicants from Hong Kong Baptist University, SPACE and Hong Kong Polytechnic University with high grade averages who have completed a relevant Associate Degree program. In the event that applicants meet the requirements for selection they may be granted up to 100 points of credit for the Bachelor of Arts program. Credit will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Bachelor of Arts

Graduates with a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 in the programs specified below may be eligible for selection. Successful applicants will receive up to 100 points (1 year) of credit towards the Bachelor of Arts. Students must sit the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test to meet English language requirements.

Credit transfer agreements - Malaysia

Applicants from Malaysia with B+ averages across the following degree programs may be eligible for entry into either the Bachelor of Arts. Successful applicants will be granted up to 50 points (1 semester) of credit.

Credit transfer agreements - Singapore

Graduates with a minimum of a 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) in the Diplomas specified below will be awarded 100 points of unspecified credit (equivalent to 1 year of study) at the first year level.

Graduates of other Polytechnic Diploma programs with a high-grade average are invited to apply for the Bachelor of Arts. Credit will be assessed on a case by case basis.
