Get a taste of all that Australia has to offer, including our unique fauna, stunning natural landscapes, rich Indigenous culture and thriving shopping, dining and festival scenes.
Be personally greeted at the airport and driven to your accommodation by a friendly University of Melbourne staff member, removing the stress and hassle of arrival.
Welcome to Country and welcome dinner
An Indigenous Elder from the Wurundjeri will welcome you to Country. This is a welcome from Australia's first nation peoples, the traditional owners of the land that Melbourne is situated on. The Wurundjeri people are part of the longest continuous culture in the world. It is here, where we now call Melbourne that they have sung their songs, told their Dreamtime stories and been connected to country for over 40,000 years.
Great Ocean Road
Explore the Australian National Heritage listed road that stretches 243km along the coastline of Victoria. Marvel at the 12 Apostles, a series of magnificent rock stacks rising up from the Southern Ocean, walk stunning bush trails in the Otway Ranges rainforest, and town-hop along the coast discovering uniquely Victorian seaside villages such as Lorne, Anglesea and Port Fairy.
Phillip Island Penguin Parade
Experience one of Australia's most popular attractions. At sunset, the world's smallest penguins arrive and waddle across the beach to their sand dune burrows. A magical evening for every visitor.
Healesville Sanctuary and Yarra Valley winery
The internationally renowned Healesville Sanctuary is home to Australia's unique and endangered wildlife. Get close to dingoes, koalas, kangaroos, platypuses and a myriad of other unique Australian animals. You will also visit some of Victoria's world-class wineries nestled in the picturesque Yarra Valley and learn firsthand the history of our winemaking industry.
Enjoy a farewell function with your fellow students atop the Melbourne Law School with views looking out over Melbourne.
